KEANSBURG – Holmdel Committeeman Terence Wall has unexpectedly resigned from his job as borough manager of Keansburg.
On Sept. 5, the Keansburg Borough Council voted 3-2 to accept Wall’s immediate resignation. Mayor Lisa Strydio and Councilman George Hoff voted against the decision.
On Monday, Wall issued a short statement explaining his reasons for quitting.
“Keansburg has moved forward in the last two-and-a-half years in many exciting and positive directions,” Wall stated. “Although I chose to move on to other endeavors, I have agreed to consult the borough during their management transition. Keansburg is a wonderful family town, and my friends here should be proud of our successes. Keansburg is truly the Gem of the Bayshore.”
Wall, who recently lost a re-election bid after eight years on the Holmdel Township Committee, has worked for Keansburg since February 2005.
Wall said he had no comment concerning on the nature of his exit or where he would work next. The Keansburg council voted 5-0 to replace Wall with Borough Clerk Tom Cusick. Cusick will serve as intern manager until a permanent replacement is found.
