Jim Ryan, Tournament Director, and Jack Presti, President
South Brunswick Soccer Club
To the editor:
We would like to thank all those who made the 2007 South Brunswick Invitational Soccer Tournament a great success. Our community shined because of outstanding support from so many. We would like to thank the township Board of Education and the Public Works and Recreation departments, the Monmouth Junction First Aid Squad and the numerous businesses that provided support. The efforts of so many made it possible for more than 1,200 kids to play in 152 games. People from around the state came and experienced South Brunswick at its best. The hospitality left many giving praise to our community. Parents from Kearny to Burlington asked that we pass their praise on to all in the community.
We would like to congratulate the soccer players for giving it their all during each game. A number of South Brunswick soccer teams finished first in their divisions. We would like to thank the parents and fans for their enthusiastic support of all the kids.
We are proud at the South Brunswick Soccer Club to be one of the fastest growing sports in the community, having more than 100 teams and 1,200 kids in our recreation program. The weekend’s tournament, as well as our other programs would not be possible without the support of the community.
Thank you to all who have helped. We look forward to a great soccer season.
