Ellen L. Kisthardt
CREAM RIDGE Ellen L. Kisthardt, 55, died Sunday.
She was born in and had lived in Trenton before moving to Cream Ridge 30 years ago. She was a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School and earned a nursing degree at St. Frances School of Nursing. She was also pursuing education in naturopathic herbal medicine at Clayton College.
Mrs. Kisthardt worked as a registered nurse in several local hospitals. She most recently worked for Bayada home care nursing in Freehold, and also owned and operated Ellen L. Kisthardt RN Electrolysis of Cream Ridge.
As an accomplished artist she operated Le Fleur Glacé, her stained glass studio, and was a member of the New Jersey Poetry Society. Her love was her family and Caleb’s Hope Cottage in the Adirondack Mountains, where she enjoyed kayaking, snowmobiling and mountain climbing.
Daughter of the late Dr. Joseph and Erika Laufenberg, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, David H. Kisthardt; a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Susan Kisthardt of New Egypt; two daughters, Joelle and JaimeLynn Kisthardt of Cream Ridge; a brother, Walter Laufenberg of Yardley, Pa.; and a granddaughter, April Kisthardt.
Funeral services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, at the Rose of Sharon Church, Jacobstown. Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of New Jersey, 1600 Route 22 East, Union, NJ 07083.
Thomas J. Lubas
ALLENTOWN Thomas J. Lubas, 51, of Allentown, died Sept. 6 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Reading, Pa., Mr. Lubas was a land development manager employed by the Centex Homes Co. Son of the late Peter and Alice Symanowicz Lubas, he is survived by his wife, Janet Lubas; a daughter Anna Marie Lubas at home; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Meg Lubas of Shillington, Pa., and David and Gail Lubas of Greenwood, La.; and several nieces and nephews.
Private cremation services were held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Hartmann Memorial Home, Hamilton. Contributions can be made to the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St., PO Box 122, Allentown, NJ 08501.
Mabel G. Nutt
NEW EGYPT Mabel G. Nutt, 90, of New Egypt died Sept. 4. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Tilghman Funeral Home, New Egypt. Interment was held at Emleys Hill Cemetery, Cream Ridge.
Michelina D. Lillis
EAST WINDSOR Michelina "Molly" De Vito Lillis, 77, passed away Sept. 3 at home.
Born in New York City, she lived in East Windsor and was previously from Old Bridge where she resided for 29 years. Mrs. Lillis was the secretary and treasurer of Jim’s Bagel Loft in Robbinsville.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis, in 1986, her brother, Guido De Vito, and her sister, Columbia Stalikis. Surviving are her three sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Susan Lillis of Howell, Stephen Lillis of Plainsboro, and James Lillis of East Windsor; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie and William Holt of Cranbury; her brother, Nicholas De Vito of Florida; her sister, Dorothy Pane of Yardville; her grandchildren, April, Michael, Michelle, Jimmy, Frankie, Samantha, Christopher and Stephen; her great-grandson, Isaiah; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Hightstown. Interment followed in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
Thomas M. Rogers
MONROE Thomas M. Rogers, 60, of Monroe Township, passed away Aug. 31 at the University Medical Center at Princeton of complications after a long battle with rheumatoid arthritis.
Born in Hackensack, he lived most of his life in the Morgan section of Sayreville. In 2003, Mr. Rogers moved to Monroe Township.
Mr. Rogers retired from the DiGiorgio Corp. (formerly Fleming) in Perth Amboy, after many years of service as a maintenance purchasing agent.
He was a New York Ranger season ticket holder and enjoyed reading in his leisure time.
Son of the late James D. and Dorothy I. Rogers, he is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Colleen and Chuck Rogers of Menomonie, Wisc., and Linda and Kevin Brennan of Robbinsville; a brother, James W. Rogers of Sayreville; and a niece and two nephews.
All services were private and under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
