Jennifer Gerlach
Jennifer D. Gerlach, of Lawrence, died Aug. 17 at the Merwick Care Center, in Princeton, after battling brain cancer. She was 62.
   Born in Chappaqua, N.Y., she had resided in Lawrence since 1987.
   She was a graduate of Centenary College in Hackettstown and received her bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University in Indiana. She completed her teaching certificate at the University of Massachusetts, her M. Ed. at Lesley College in Massachusetts, and a supervisory certification in Houston, Texas.
   Ms. Gerlach was an art teacher in the Lawrence Public School System for 15 years and a student teacher supervisor at Rider University. She was a member of the Lawrence Arts Council, the Arts Educators of NJ, the Lawrenceville Women’s Club and Lawrenceville Main Street. Recently retired, her love for the arts was an inspiration to her young students. Her creativity, love of life and enthusiasm for teaching impacted the lives of many families in the Lawrence community.
   Daughter of the late Alton and Marjorie Dodge Gerlach, she is survived by her husband Peter Hoggan; a son, Austin Dodge Hoggan, of Lawrence; and many friends.
   A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, S. Main St. and Curlis Ave., Pennington. There will be no calling hours. Burial was private in the Fair Ridge Cemetery, Chappaqua, N.Y.

Anna Hoff
   BRISTOL, Pa. — Anna Rose (nee Ksyniak) Hoff, of Bristol Township, Pa., died Aug. 14 at her home. She was 80.
   Born and raised in Bristol, she resided in Hamilton Township, N.J., and has been an Edgely resident for the past 45 years.
   Mrs. Hoff was a competitive polka dancer, played the accordion by ear and loved to sing. She was a volunteer Brownie and Girl Scout Leader in Edgely. She loved to cook and often shared her meals with homebound family and friends.
   She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard D. Hoff; two daughters, Donna Rago and her husband, Tom, of Lawrence, and Karen Hoff-Senior and Ernie Shimshack, of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Richard D. Hoff and Jonathan A. Hoff, both of New Jersey; and many other relatives and friends.
   Funeral service was Aug. 18, at Calvary Baptist Church, Bristol, Pa.
