The 10th annual Pride in Milltown Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 6 in Borough Park, JFK Boulevard and Violet Terrace, next to the community pool. Rain date is Oct. 7.
The event, organized by the Milltown Revitalization Committee, is designed to promote community spirit and awareness of local businesses and service organizations.
This year’s highlights will include:
• The VooDudes in concert;
• a magic and illusion show with George Reiger Jr.;
• contests and prizes;
• all-day food court;
• Community Pride Fair – nonprofit community groups serving Milltown are invited to promote their activities, free of charge, at an information table;
• Business Expo – local businesses serving Milltown will promote their products and services ($25 exhibit fee);
• Arts and Crafts Fair – vendors will display and sell their creations ($10 exhibit fee);
• Classic Car Show – juried competition with prizes, trophies and giveaways to entrants ($10 registration in advance, $15 on day of event);
• morning cleanup – volunteers will meet at Borough Hall at 8:30 a.m.;
• family activities including a pet-show contest, home-run derby, basketball contest, egg toss and more;
• giant slide and other attractions;
• child identification program.
