During SAFE in Hunterdon’s “Holidays in July” event held at Dressbarn in Flemington, $420.88 in merchandise and gift certificates were purchased by generous shoppers to help eight women in need. Each woman received a complete outfit either a dress, pants and a top, or a skirt and a top. The agency also received an anonymous donation of $40.
We want to take this opportunity to thank each of the charitable donors and especially Dressbarn for partnering with SAFE in Hunterdon in this worthwhile cause. Women affected by domestic violence and sexual assault often find it difficult to take the steps necessary to gain their independence. A new outfit certainly helps them dress for success!
