Locals are sought to enter this year’s home-and-garden-style competition at the Monmouth County Park System’s Harvest Home Festival. The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 30 at Historic Longstreet Farm, located on Longstreet Road in Holmdel. The home and garden competition is modeled after an 1890s country fair and is open to all amateurs.
The competition categories are baked goods, condiments, crocheting, embroidery, fruits, knitting, needlepoint, quilting, rug hooking, vegetables, wall hangings and weavings.
