Donations will help supply food for Thanksgiving meals

On Aug. 25, the Blue Moon Kruizers and Chik-fil-A restaurant of Howell sponsored their first Wheels for Meals car show/fundraiser to benefit the Howell Food Pantry.

It was a huge success with more than $2,400 raised for needy families. This money will be used to provide Thanksgiving meals with all the fixings to over 125 area families in need.

Many thanks to the wonderful people at Chik-fil-A who donated a portion of their proceeds of their evening’s earnings to the pantry, and to the Howell Rebelettes who generously gave up all their money proceeds to this event.

A very special thanks to John Lebrio who has been collecting for the pantry at his weekly car shows. Our community is certainly lucky to have so many caring and generous individuals and businesses.
