Princeton Borough
Gregory Dixon, 51, of Trenton was arrested 2:24 a.m. Friday on a warrant of $500 out of Princeton Township Municipal Court subsequent to a pedestrian stop on Hulfish Street. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and committed in default of bail.
Princeton Township
Greg Hunt, 53, of Montgomery Township, and Edward Crane, 85, of Princeton, were charged with lewdness 12:08 p.m. Friday after plainclothes officers responded to complaints of sexual acts being committed in Herrontown Woods park off Snowden Lane, police said.
After patrolling the area on foot, the officers observed Mr. Hunt and Mr. Crane walking along a path into the park, where they began to initiate masturbation and oral sex, police said. They were arrested and transported to Princeton Township Police Department where they were processed. They were later released on their own recognizance pending a court date.
James Jones, 42, of Princeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to keep right, failure to change address and failure to exhibit an insurance card 12:19 a.m. Saturday subsequent to an investigation of a reported motor vehicle accident at Route 206 and Cherry Valley Road, police said.
Investigation at the scene revealed that the driver, Mr. Jones, was traveling south on Route 206 when he attempted to make a right turn onto Cherry Valley Road and failed to keep right, causing his vehicle to strike a curb and a traffic signal control box, police said.
When interviewing Mr. Jones, the officer detected an odor of alcoholic beverage and conducted a series of tests, police said. Mr. Jones was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released to a friend.
Montgomery
A one-vehicle accident that left the driver entrapped and portions of River Road closed for two hours occurred at 6:05 a.m. Friday.
Jamerli Y. Navarro, 25, of North Brunswick attempted to avoid a deer and ran off the roadway, severing a telephone pole and two trees near River Road’s intersection with Dead Tree Run Road, police said.
Mr. Navarro complained of pain to his chest and was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, police said. His vehicle was towed from the scene.
A three-car accident occurred near the intersection of Route 518 and Hollow Road at 8:15 a.m. Friday. Roberto Delwo, 29, of Hopewell Township was stopped in the eastbound lane of Route 518 waiting for a car to turn left onto Hollow Road. Behind Mr. Delwo was Robin Boudette, 46, of Hopewell Township. Jason Flynn, 17, of Hillsborough was also eastbound and hit the Boudette car, which then hit Mr. Delwo’s car, according to police. No injuries were reported and all cars were driven from the scene. Police issued a summons for careless driving to Mr. Flynn.
A 14-year-old, who had been riding a school bus, claimed that he was assaulted by a fellow passenger after exiting the bus on Blue Spring Road at 2:45 p.m. Friday, according to police.
The victim said he had a verbal argument with his attacker on the bus and that when he got off the bus with a friend, he was struck in the face, according to police. The victim suffered a minor injury and was not able to identify his attacker, according to police. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Montgomery Township Police Detective Bureau at 908-874-3333.
Police and Montgomery Emergency Services responded to the intersection of Delmarvia Drive and Whitlock Court for the report of a motor vehicle crash at 8:54 p.m. Saturday. Steven P. Grasso, 27, of Montgomery Township was driving a 1996 Ford Mustang when he failed to negotiate a curve, police said. The car struck a curb, left the roadway and struck a tree and a parked car, according to the report.
Mr. Grasso was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane and careless driving. He is scheduled to appear in the Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
West Windsor
Police said Eric Anderson, 35, of East Brunswick was arrested for shoplifting at 2:10 p.m. Saturday after he was caught taking $166 in Mach 3 Turbo razorblades from McCaffrey’s on Route 571. Police said Mr. Anderson stashed the blades in his cargo pants pockets and fled out a rear emergency door. He was also found to be a parole violator out of Middlesex County, police said.
Police charged Aysha Steatean, 19, of Trenton with shoplifting about 6 p.m. Saturday after she was caught taking $510 in various DVDs, CDs, clothing and a digital camera from Wal-Mart in the Nassau Park shopping center.
Police said unknown persons stole a $5,000 1999 Acura Integra from the Princeton Junction train station’s Wallace Road pay lot between 6 p.m. Friday and 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police charged George Dickerson, 60, of Trenton with shoplifting after he allegedly attempted to return an unpurchased item for a $132 refund 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
A Sirius satellite radio with antenna and mounting unit valued at $150 was taken from a vehicle parked at the Princeton Junction train station’s Station Drive pay lot between Thursday and Monday, police said.
Plainsboro
A Hampshire Drive resident reported that his 1998 Chrysler minivan was vandalized while it was parked on Hampshire Drive about 1:50 a.m. Monday. Damage was placed at $500.
Catherine M. Dellabadia, 46, of Sergeantsville was charged with driving while intoxicated after her car was stopped on Dey Road about 10:20 p.m. Friday. Police said a motorist dialed 911 reporting a possible drunken driver of a silver BMW. Police stopped the car near the Municipal Center. Ms. Dellabadia was also charged with driving while intoxicated in a school zone, reckless driving, having an unclear license plate and using a cell phone while driving and was released pending a court appearance.
A resident of Eiker Road reported Thursday being victimized by an on-line Web site in the amount of $450.
