It is very interesting how commuters are treated in Manalapan. Commuters who apply for a parking permit to one of the many facilities have the pleasure of waiting a year or so for the privilege to park at one of these wonderful locations.
Now if you are not one of the lucky ones to get a permit you can arrive at 5:15 a.m. to see if you can get a chance at grabbing one of the last daily parking spots.
Meanwhile the parking lots of the strip malls (there’s a new one every 30 days or so it seems) are half empty or contain vans owned by the local establishments and are used as outside warehouses. These vans are stuffed with junk from the local restaurant or store and remain parked in the same spot for over a year. Not a word is said. No stickers on windows for these guys.
Yeah, that makes sense.
I think this township needs to get its act together regarding fair treatment. This town is growing too fast for this “small town” mentality. Opie doesn’t live here anymore. Get with the program and show some leadership and accountability.
