Carol Kilmer

   MANSFIELD — Carol E. Kilmer, 72, died Sept. 19 at the Samaritan Hospice Section in Virtua Hospital.
   Born in North Tarrytown, N.Y., she previously resided in Fort Meyers, Fla., before moving to the Four Seasons Community in Columbus.
   Ms. Kilmer enjoyed traveling, trips to Atlantic City, rearing and also was known to play a mean game of gin rummy. She had a special love of the ocean and spent the winters at her beachside home in Vero Beach, Fla. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she felt her family was her greatest accomplishment.
   She was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Carrie Hutton; she was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, John Earl Kilmer. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Nancy Kilmer of Columbus, Greg and Peggy Kilmer of Columbus, and Peter Kilmer of Indianapolis, Ind; a brother, Joseph Hutton of Bordentown; a brother-in-law, Peter Kilmer of Spring Hill, Fla.; and her grandchildren, Jared, Walter, Kara, all of Columbus, Sean of Philadelphia and Bryan of Avon by the Sea.
   A celebration of Ms. Kilmer’s life will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m., with a memorial service at noon at the Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
