YARDLEY, Pa. Mary J. (Annechini) Salway, 89, died Sunday at Manor Care in Yardley.
Born in West Orange, N.J., Ms. Salway was raised in Morrisville, and spent most of her life in the Trenton, N.J., and Lawrenceville, N.J., areas before moving to Manor Care in Yardley.
Ms. Salway was formerly a salesclerk at the Babies and Children’s Shop in Trenton and retired in 1973 as a salesclerk at Sylenes Lingerie Shop in Trenton, where she had been employed for more than 20 years.
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was a very active member of the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens and enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City, bingo and baking.
Wife of the late Michael Salway and sister of the late William and Lester Annechini, she is survived by a daughter, Linda Lowe, and her husband, Joseph, of Yardley; a son, William L. Salway, and his wife, Barbara, of Columbia, Md.; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Lisa Lowe, both school teachers, Beth Salway, Melissa Davis and Emily Greenberger; four great-grandchildren, Eli, Logan, Lily and Carly; two sisters, Janet M. Keiger of Levittown and Virginia C. Csik of Roebling, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday from the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville, with the Rev. John C. Eckert, pastor of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, and Chaplain Bill Lockaby officiating. Interment followed in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lower Makefield Township.
