Peter Nero and the Philly Pops:
Peter Nero returns to the Patriots Theater at the Trenton War Memorial for his signature show, "Broadway Showstoppers-Best of the Tonys," at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 to $75 and can be purchased by calling (609) 984-8400 or (800) 955-5566 or www.tickets.com.
Grammy award winner Peter Nero welcomes Doug LeBrecque, Rachel York and Lisa Vroman for this special concert, benefiting The Foundation of Morris Hall/St. Lawrence Inc., which consists of St. Mary’s Assisted and Residential Living and St. Joseph’s Skilled Nursing Center at Morris Hall, and St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center, a not-for-profit physical rehabilitation hospital on Route 206 in Lawrence.

Pizza and benefit events: Candela Ristorante & Pizzeria, 22 Lawn Park Ave., will hold its first "PizzaFest" with live music and a "Battle of the Bands" contest from 1 to 6 p.m. Rain date is Sept. 30. A second "PizzaFest" will be held at the business’ other location, Candela II, 4120 Quakerbridge Road, on Oct. 6, which will feature Dennis James, a local magician.
The events will feature giveaways including free pizza and other Italian food, raffles and a wing eating contest, free t-shirts, breast cancer awareness wrist bracelets for future discounts and more. 100 percent of proceeds from both events will go to "Live for Pink," a local breast cancer awareness charity.
