Lawrence Township’s Growth and Redevelopment Committee has announced this year’s recipients of the Township’s Economic Development Awards.
St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center on Lawrenceville Road won the Mayor’s Award in honor of their 36 years of service to Lawrence and surrounding communities. Oskar Huber Furniture & Design won the New Large Business Award for its successful new store in the Lawrence Shopping Center.
Hedera, Inc. won the New Small Business Award for its new offices in the Village of Lawrenceville and dedication to the community. Rider University won the New Building Award for their student recreation center designed by the Spiezle Group. HACBM Architects, Engineers, and Planners, LLC won the Renovation Award for their office building on East Darrah Lane. First Choice Bank won the Business Service Award for being a community focused bank and opening on Whitehead Road in the Brunswick Pike South redevelopment zone. Sustainable Lawrence won the Environmental Award for their work to create a sustainable community in Lawrence Township. And William Agress won the Podmore/Dwyer Historic Award for his portrayal of Col. Edward Hand during the annual march from the municipal building to Trenton.
Award recipients will be honored at a breakfast ceremony on Oct. 9 at Greenacres Country Club. The ceremony and breakfast is hosted annually by the Lawrence Township Growth and Redevelopment Committee and the Lawrence Chapter of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce.
