Looking at the tax schedules for all the towns in Middlesex County, I couldn’t help but notice that Monroe has one of the lowest property taxes in the county. With so many retirees on fixed incomes, this is not only beneficial, it is just plain good value.
What is so impressive about low taxes is the fact that we also have first-rate services in the township – a great library, an impressive variety of senior programs, state-of-the-art emergency services, a wonderful recreation center and many recycling opportunities.
Mayor Richard Pucci and Township Council members Irwin Nalitt and Leslie Koppel-Egierd have to be applauded for providing tax stability with fiscal responsibility while maintaining great municipal services. This is a real accomplishment, and the Democratic team deserves our support in November.
