Richard H. Mathews

   BORDENTOWN CITY — Richard H. Mathews, 58, died Oct. 22 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.
   Born in Trenton, son of the late Richard J. and Lorraine Stratton Mathews, he had been a lifelong Bordentown resident.
   Mr. Mathews worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad for more than 38 years. He was an avid baseball fan and especially enjoyed times with his family. He also liked walking through town with his buddy “Sammy.”
   Mr. Mathews is survived by his wife, Dawn M. Jobes Mathews; his son, Ian Mathews of Bordentown; his daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Brandon Bowyer of Las Vegas; his future granddaughter, Brynn Bowyer; his sister, Christine; his dear father-and mother-in-law, Clinton and Virginia Jobes of Bordentown; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law, and special cousins.
   Memorial services were private, under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
