Peter Pritchard

    DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — Peter Pritchard died Oct. 21 at home. He was 79.
   Born in Mitcham, England, he immigrated to the United States from Canada as a young man to work at Taft Electrosystems in Princeton. One of the projects he worked on while at Taft was one of the Apollo missions.
   He and two partners started Clantech Inc. in Montgomery where he worked until his retirement in 1993.
   He studied electronic engineering at Borough Polytechnic, now London South Bank University, graduating in 1947.
   A former Edison resident, he was active in Metuchen Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder. He moved to Doylestown in 1974.
   He enjoyed painting, collecting English stamps, playing the violin and doing home improvements.
   Son of the late Florence G. Farrell and Ambrose P. Pritchard, husband of the late Ann S. Pritchard, who died in 2004, he is survived by daughters Elizabeth P. Stewart of Renton, Wash., Claire Vetter of Shreveport, La., and Laura Pritchard of Doylestown; grandsons Michael, Matthew and Peter Vetter of Shreveport, La.; brother Alan of Stourbridge, England; and sister Vera Pritchard of Bideford, England.
   A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 9 at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, 127 E. Court St., Doylestown, Pa.
   Visiting hour will begin at 10 a.m. at the church.
   Interment will be at Ewing Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Ewing.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Doylestown Presbyterian Church.
