Mark William Dettmar

   Mark William Dettmar, 50, died Sunday morning.
   Born in Trenton, he had lived in Ewing his entire life.
   He graduated from Ewing High School in 1975 and from Juniata College in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in wildlife management. He was the president of Delaware River Outfitters in Pennington and president of the Pohatcong Fishing Club. He was a frequent guest speaker and member of Trout Unlimited-Ernest Schwiebert Chapter and the Solitude Fishing Club.
   A professional fishing guide, expert fly tier and casting instructor, he had numerous articles published on fly fishing. He also coached the Ewing Edge girls softball team for the past five years.
   Predeceased by his mother, Ruth Ann Dettmar, he is survived by his wife, Theresa M. Dettmar, and his daughter, Dana Lynn Dettmar, both of Ewing; his father, William J. Dettmar of Skillman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and John Stites of Skillman and Stacey and Ken Girt of Belle Mead; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carol and Simon Volek of Kendall Park; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Salvatore LoBianco of Virginia, Lynn and Nicholas Sebring of North Carolina, Alison and Charles Gibardi of Colonia; and many nieces and nephews.
   A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Ewing Cemetery Chapel, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing.
   Interment will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery Mausoleum.
   There will be no calling hours.
   Donations can be made to the Dana Lynn Dettmar College Bound Fund and sent c/o Dettmar, 58 Hamlet Court, Skillman, 08858, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
