Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury is preparing for its 62nd holiday cookie bake, a major church fundraiser for local, national and international mission efforts.
The cookie bake history reaches back to just after World War II when a small group of Trinity Church women started baking cookies to sell at their Christmas bazaar. By last year, approximately 16,000 assorted cookies were baked, hand-decorated and packed in more than 350 1-pound boxes within a two-week span.
Order forms are available through the church office. Cookie pickup is Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to noon at the breakfast with St. Nicholas and Trinity holiday store events.
The breakfast will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at $10 a person. It includes a home-style breakfast buffet, arts and crafts, storytelling, a raffle and holiday photographs with St. Nick.
Register by Nov. 26 by calling the church.
The store will be open from 9 a.m. to noon.
