Voters head for the polls today

State, local races at stake

   On Election Day today, voters have choices to make on both the state and local levels.
   In Princeton Township, Democratic incumbents Phyllis Marchand and Lance Liverman are facing Republicans Esther Mills and Cindy Randazzo for the two Township Committee seats.
   In Princeton Borough, Republicans Linda Sipprelle and Joseph Codeda are vying for the two open spots on Borough Council against Democratic incumbents Andrew Koontz and Roger Martindell.
   Democratic incumbent Mayor Mildred Trotman is running unopposed.
   Voters in Montgomery Township will fill three spots on the Township Committee.
   Democratic incumbents Brad Fay and Louise Wilson are facing Republicans Frank Drift and Patricia Graham for the two three-year terms.
   On the ballot for a one-year term are Democrat Mike Joye and Republican Kacey Dyer.
   In Rocky Hill Borough, there are two three-year terms and a single one-year term are on the ballot.
   Competing for the two three-year terms are Rocky Hill Borough Councilwoman Linda Goldman, an independent candidate recently appointed to the council following Dan Harrington’s resignation in September, Republican incumbent Jim Banks and Republican candidate Tom Roshetar.
   Republican write-in candidate Peggy Merritt is running against Independent incumbent Courtney White in the race for the one-year term.
   In the 14th Legislative District, voters will be choosing a new senator and at least one new Assembly member.
   In the Senate race, Republican Assemblyman Bill Baroni is facing Democrat Seema Singh.
   The Assembly ballot will feature six candidates vying for two seats: Democratic incumbent Linda Greenstein and her Democratic running mate Wayne DeAngelo, Republicans Tom Goodwin and Adam Bushman, and Libertarians Ray Cragle and Jason Scheurer.
   In the 15th District, six candidates are vying for three seats.
   Seeking the Senate seat are incumbent Democrat Shirley Turner and Republican Bob Martin.
   In the Assembly race, incumbent Democrats Bonnie Watson Coleman and Reed Gusciora are facing Republican Bob Bryant and Green Party candidate Nicholas Mellis.
   In the 16th District’s state Senate election, Republican incumbent Christopher “Kip” Bateman is running against Democrat Wayne Fox.
   Running for the state Assembly are Republican incumbent Peter Biondi and his Republican running mate Denise Coyle, and Democrats Michael Fedun and William Kole.
