Voters return Asher to council; add Komoroski
For the first time in 15 years, Manville will have a new mayor, as Republican Lillian Zuza defeated Angelo Corradino on Tuesday, by a vote of 1,077 to 972.
With just under 46 percent of Manville’s registered voters going to the polls, Ms. Zuza topped the four-time incumbent. She will be sworn in to office at the borough reorganization in January.
Ms. Zuza could not be reached for comment.
Voters also returned Borough Council President Sue Asher, and added Democratic challenger Ed Komoroski. The unofficial totals for the council seats were Ms. Asher 1,160, Mr. Komoroski 1,040, Republican Steve Rodzinak 926, Robert Petrone 889.
”We worked very hard to get new people to register to vote and it paid off,” Ms. Asher said. “I’m looking forward to starting my third term.”
