I support Louise Wilson, Brad Fay and Michael Joye for Montgomery Township Committee because I know them to be intelligent, hard working, and honest.
Louise Wilson has been a leader on the Township Committee for the past six years, during which municipal finances have been carefully controlled. The average municipal property tax has increased only two percent per year on average. My municipal tax increased only 1.56 percent between 2006 and 2007. Contrary to the exaggerated claims by the campaign of the opponents, Montgomery Township’s property tax rate (.266) is far below the average of all New Jersey municipalities (.733) and below that of all its neighboring townships.
Montgomery’s Township Committee has kept real estate development under control for many years. It has led the way in preserving open space, and Brad Fay has worked tirelessly to make sure that the future of Skillman Village will be controlled by the townspeople.
Together they have implemented small-scale projects and successfully advocated the realignment of the Route 206 bypass to relieve traffic congestion. I am confident that Fay and Wilson will find the best way to keep this Township a livable place in the future, and that Joye will add strength to the Township Committee.
