Mr. Tynan, 67, of West Long Branch, died Nov. 3, 2007, at home. He was born and raised in New York City. He was employed in sales at Boerner Foods for 28 years, and as a food merchandiser at Acosta, retiring in 2004. He served with the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. He was an avid golfer, and Giant’s fan, and enjoyed horse racing. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Heather Ray Tynan; two daughters and a son-in-law, Christine and Mark Huston of Dallas, and Deborah Tynan of Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Kathleen Tynan of Oakland; two stepsons, Eugene Ray of the Lincroft section of Middletown, and Timothy Ray of Atlanta; and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Nov. 7 at 9:30 a.m. at Star of the Sea Church. Arrangements are by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
