Mrs. Donato, 88, of Freehold, died Oct. 21, 2007, at The Manor Care Center, Freehold Township. Born in Hoboken, she had lived in Jersey City before moving to Hazlet in 1989 and had resided in Freehold for the past eight years. Mrs. Donato was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; two brothers, Joseph Pierro and Dominic Pierro; and a sister, Nettie Lemendola. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Stella and Paul Roth of Hazlet, and Jo Ann and Nick Kosanovich of Whiting; a son, Joseph Donato of Tinton Falls; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Keansburg, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements.
