Dual office holding has been an ongoing issue in New Jersey. Just in the past few weeks, it has been brought to our attention that numerous dishonest officials, from all levels of government, have been indicted. Many of these officials were, in fact, dual office holders.
”Double dipping” contributes towards the “Culture of Corruption” that has become a sad reality in New Jersey. The time has arrived New Jersey’s citizens to elect reformers who can eliminate this corruption.
Assemblyman Bill Baroni is the reformer that we are looking for. Mr. Baroni has fought to ban dual office holding at every level that it exists. In addition, he has long wanted to ban dual office holding as part of a larger package of ethics reform. Bill Baroni’s running mates, Councilmen Tom Goodwin and Adam Bushman, also oppose dual office holding.
Mr. Goodwin believes dual office holding limits opportunities for other potential candidates to run for elected office. Mr. Goodwin, himself, has chosen to step down from his Council seat if elected to the Assembly. Similarly, Mr. Bushman disapproves dual office holding because it prevents any additional leaders in the community from running and serving in public office.
The 14th District needs reformers like Bill Baroni, Tom Goodwin and Adam Bushman. Other candidates promise reform, Team Baroni will deliver results.
