Organizers thank supporters for successful event

Joan Bartl and Meaghan Cannon, Event Co-Chairs of Womanspace 2007 Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award Reception
Heartfelt thanks to the more than 400 businesses and individuals that supported the Womanspace 2007 Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award Reception, held at the Hyatt Regency Princeton on Oct. 11. The event was extremely successful, our honoree, Nell Merlino was exceptional and your support was outstanding! We feel truly blessed to be part of a non-profit organization surrounded by so many generous people in Mercer County and beyond.
We greatly appreciate everyone who provided in-kind services, attended the event, purchased raffle tickets, gave a donation, supported the ad journal, and chose to be an event sponsor.
It would be impossible to list every supporter, but we are proud to recognize the following corporate sponsors and services partners who supported this year’s Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award event so generously: Janssen L.P., Johnson & Johnson Consumer Products, Bermuda Department of Tourism, Caliper, Compass Healthcare Communications, Fox Rothschild LLP, Homasote, Payment Management, Pryde Brown Photography, The Times of Trenton, Verizon and DeraCom. Thanks again to all of the additional supporters we could not list.
We applaud the wonderful work of our fabulous event committee. Kudos to our superb Honorary Chairs: Valorie Caffee (Womanspace Co-founder); The Honorable Marvin Reed and Ingrid Reed. We were also graced with over 100 community leaders who served on our event Honorary Committee, a very supportive Board of Trustees and Advisory Council.
Special thanks to Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes, Marvin and Ingrid Reed, and Professor Paul Sigmund who all offered poignant program remarks and to Emmy Award winning Cokie Roberts, who was with us in spirit and provided a wonderful media message congratulating Nell Merlino and commemorating 30 years of Womanspace.
Serving as event committee Co-chairs was very rewarding thanks to all of these excellent supporters and volunteers and the extraordinary leadership of Pat Hart, Executive Director and Susan Klejst, director of development.
