Six Ocean County roads will be repaved as part of more than $2 million in contracts to be awarded by the Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
A $1.9 million contract awarded to Earle Asphalt Company of Farmingdale includes the reconstruction and resurfacing of five roads.
Included are: Chambers Bridge Road from the ShopRite entrance to Brick Boulevard in Brick Township, Bay Avenue (Route 571) from Hooper Avenue to Oak Avenue near the Ocean County Mall in Toms River, Route 571 from Leawood Avenue to Route 9 in Toms River, Larsen Road between New Prospect Road and the Monmouth County line in Jackson and a portion on Church Street in the borough of Lakehurst.
Work on at least some of the projects is expected to begin later this fall and be completed by the spring.
