   Jamesburg Library offers these events and programs:
Stitchers’ group: Anyone interested in hand sewing, crocheting, knitting or mending is invited to join the stitchers’ group on the second and fourth Mondays of the month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Beginners are welcome. For more information, call the library.
   Fall story hour: Story time for children between 3 and 5 years old. 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15. Register in person or by calling the library.
   Book Sale: Paperback books for 25 cents and hardbound books for 50 cents. The library accepts donations of hardbound and paperback books that are no more than five years old.
   Magazine swap: Bring old magazines to the library to share with others. All magazines are free.

Sunday crafts: Crafts for kids of all ages every Sunday at the art station in the youth services area. 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
   Breakfast Book Chat: Bring in a favorite memoir and discuss it with the group. 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9. Sign up at the circulation desk.
   Book donations: Beginning Sunday, Nov. 11, bring in a new children’s book and help build the Terrific Tower of Tales. All books will be donated to Books to Keep, which distributes books to less-fortunate children in Middlesex County in December and January.
   Children’s Book Week: Celebrate from Nov. 12 through Nov. 17.
   Eli Drapkin Stamp Club: Under the guidance of resident stamp collectors, children between 7 and 12 years are introduced to the world of stamp collecting through guest speakers and stamp swapping. 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13. Call the library to register.
   Starlight Express: An evening story time for children between 3 and 5 years old. 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Nov. 13, 20 and 27. Register by phone or in person.
   Free Classic Walk-in Movies: Watch classics from the 40s and 50s. 2 p.m. on Wednesdays, Nov. 14, 21 and 28. No sign up necessary.
   Inaugural Susi Silber Lecture: Featuring Thomas Oliphant, former Pulitzer Prize-winning Boston Globe columnist and best-selling author, will discuss topics addressed in his book, “Utter Incompetents: Ego and Ideology in the Age of Bush.” 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14. Books will be available for purchase and personalization at the event, with a portion of each sale benefiting the Friends of the Library. Free tickets are available at the circulation desk.
   Arts and Crafts: 4:15 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Nov. 14 will be cornucopia pins for children between 6 and 8 years old. Nov. 19 will be Native American vests and headdresses for children between 3 and 5 years old. Nov. 26 will be Three Little Kittens puppets for children between 3 and 5 years old. Nov. 28 will be Three Little Pigs puppets for children between 6 and 8 years old. Registration is not required for craft programs. Please stop at the children’s desk for a number, and the first 15 children will be accepted.
   Third- and Fourth-Grade Book Group: Meet to discuss “Regarding the Fountain” by Kate Klise. 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14. Call the library to register and reserve your copy of the book at the circulation desk. Refreshments will be provided.
   Knit Lit Knitting Group: Bring your knitting project to work on and discuss the latest book selection. Noon on Thursday, Nov. 15. Sign up at the circulation desk.
   Tower Building Contest: Can you build the highest tower using some unusual building materials? Children 8 years and older can participate in this unique contest. 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15. Register at the youth services desk.
   Kids in the Kitchen: Pop! Goes the Brownie, for children between 8 and 12 years old. 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15. Register at the youth services desk.
   2, 3, 4 Stories & More: Stories, music, and fun for children between 2 and 4 years old. 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17. Registration is not required.
   Let’s Talk About It!: Jewish Literature: Discuss “The Little Disturbances of Man” by Grace Paley. 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18. Sign up and reserve your copy at the circulations.
   Baby Time: Rhymes and playtime for infants between 6 and 12 months and their caregivers. The half-hour session is filled with rhymes, music and free play. 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19. Register by phone or in person.
