Tigers ttruggle to score continues
For the second straight week, the Princeton University football team failed to score a touchdown in a loss.
The Tigers turned the ball over four times, twice after reaching the 3-yard line in the first half, in a 27-6 loss to No. 12 Yale on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (9-0) play Harvard (7-2) next week for the Ivy League title. Both are unbeaten in league play at 6-0. Princeton slipped to 3-6 overall, 2-4 in Ivy play.
Princeton quarterback Bill Foran completed 17 passes for 177 yards and rushed 15 times for 72 yards, but the Tigers couldn’t manage more than a pair of Connor Louden field goals.
Two of Matt Polhemus’s five completions went for touchdowns to Chris Denny-Brown, and Mike McLeod rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown.
