Heartland Payment Systems announced a series of executive promotions.
Robert Baldwin has been promoted to president and chief financial officer. Serving as the company’s CFO since 2000, he has been responsible for building the finance function as the company grew from a $15 million value to $1.1 billion in market capitalization. He oversaw Heartland’s initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in 2005.
Alan Sims has been promoted to chief technology officer. A Heartland employee since 2000, he was instrumental in the development and implementation of Exchange, Heartland’s proprietary front-end processing system. He has more than 20 years of experience in information technology with corporations such as Electronic Data Systems, Pan Am World Services, and Control Data Corp.
In a newly established role, Marty Moretti has been promoted to chief service officer and will manage the company’s service center in Jeffersonville, Ind. He will oversee Heartland’s 600 service and operations professionals in a new facility that will open in December.

Sovereign Bank announced the promotion of Hasan A. Pride to assistant vice president, portfolio manager. Based in Princeton, his responsibilities include account maintenance and analysis and credit investigation of customers and prospects. Mr. Pride joined Sovereign in 2005 and was most recently a financial analyst.
WithumSmith+Brown, certified public accountants and consultants, announced the addition of Joan Kampo as director of human resources. Ms. Kampo is based in the firm’s West Windsor office, where the HR department serving the firm’s 10 regional offices is located. She is certified as a senior professional of human resources and is a certified facilitator. Ms. Kampo is also a member of the Jersey Shore Association of Human Resources.
Joseph Sickler has joined NJBankers, the South Brunswick-based trade association for the New Jersey banking industry, as controller. Mr. Sickler comes to NJBankers after serving in a similar position with Radiology Associates PA.
Bank of America New Jersey Market Executive Peter A. Dontas has been named to the board of NJBankers. Mr. Dontas also serves on the boards of Tri-County Scholarships, the American Conference on Diversity and the McCarter Theater Center.
Tyrell Wilkins of Levittown, Pa, has joined 3rd Federal Bank as the Quakerbridge branch office manager. Mr. Wilkins has over seven years of branch banking experience. Prior to joining 3rd Federal, he was a branch manager for Bank of America. The Quakerbridge branch is located in Village Square Plaza in Lawrence.
