Prescription Drug Retail Price Registry available. This program makes it easy for consumers to find the retail price for their prescriptions at their local pharmacies and comparison shop for the lowest price. The information is available by calling 800-242-5846 or accessed at www.aarp.org/nj.
Volunteers needed to help eligible Seniors and disabled residents with taxes through Somerset County Office of Volunteer Services. Training will be offered from Jan. 7 to 11, with training for e-filing from Jan. 15 to 17. Appointments for eligible residents will be scheduled Feb. 1 through April 15 in the county. Neshanic Garden Club meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in the Station House on Olive Street, Neshanic. There will be an up-date on Greening the Gulf Coast: “Katrina Coffee Can” by Janet Gibson and a light luncheon. Guest Speaker is Richard Edgcomb, well known floral designer, who will demonstrate one of his specialties, dried floral blooms. Wine reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to celebrate the Greater Somerset County Chapter of the American Red Cross’ 90 years of service to the community, sponsored by The Wine Room of Bound Brook and We Collect Clothes for a Cause. Basket auction, hosted by Woods Road Elementary School, 401 South Woods Road at the school. Doors open at 6 p.m., auction begins at 8 p.m. More than 200 baskets in addition to grand prizes, door prizes and a silent auction are available to win. Local volunteers are collecting simple shoe box gifts packed by children, families, and individuals in Somerset County to be sent to suffering children around the world. The local collection site is Pillar of Fire, 10 Chapel Drive, Zarephath, from 9 a.m. to noon and 6 to 8 p.m. today, and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For additional details, call 359-9454. Autumn boutique presented from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the South Branch Reformed Church, 870 River Road. The Hillsborough Board of Education will begin their regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Auten Road School.
4-H Bee-Keeping Club is looking for new members in grades 1 to 13 (one year out of high school) in Somerset County. The meetings will be held the third Monday of each month at the Ted Blum Somerset County 4-H Center, 310 Milltown Road, Bridgewater. Today will be the first meeting organizing the club. Presently they are in a critical situation. Club members will have the opportunity to help the honeybees by working with them, learn about the care and maintenance of hives and doing various projects, which will in turn help the production of crops worldwide.

Looking ahead
Manville High School Class of 1987 is still looking for class members for its 20-year reunion which will be held Nov. 23 at the Somerville Elks. For more information, call 7823631.
Triangle Dance Center, at 220 Triangle Road, will offer “Nutcracker” mini-camps where participants can learn more about the popular ballet from 3:30-5 p.m. Dec. 8, and 1-2:30 p.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. Dec. 9. Campers will also listen to portions of the story and make an arts and crafts project to take home, and a photo opportunity with the characters will be offered at the conclusion of each camp. Camps are for children ages 3-6 and are open to the public. Participants should wear leotard, tights and ballet slippers or any comfortable clothing and socks.
