The American Red Cross, Tinton Falls, will hold its annual “Thanks for Giving” blood drive Nov. 17 from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 129 Chestnut St., Toms River.
The goal of the drive is to collect enough units of blood to build the blood supply for the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The special drive will match each blood donation made with a turkey given in the blood donor’s name to a family in need. Turkeys will be given to military families at Fort Monmouth in support of the Jersey Coast Chapter Armed Forces Emergency Services program.
