A new branch of the Princeton University store, dedicated to Princeton insignia apparel and gifts, opened late in the day Friday.
The additional U-Store is located at 116 Nassau St. in the former Micawber’s and Children’s Place locations. Its opening follows the Wednesday opening of Labyrinth Books, the new U-Store’s next-door neighbor.
”We were pleased with the traffic the new store experienced,” said Toni Klein, the human resources and community relations director of the U-Store
”We decided to relocate our merchandise where it would be more accessible to the public — which is on the busiest street in Princeton. We are currently not in the book business any longer. Text and general interest books are now being offered by Labyrinth Books. However, we do continue to offer popular Princeton titles,” she added.
The U-Store was founded more than 100 years ago.
