John Fedyna

   MANVILLE — John Fedyna died Nov. 15 at Somerset Medical Center. He was 85.
   Born in Manville, he had been a resident of Manville all his life.
   Mr. Fedyna retired in 1985 as a shipping clerk for the General Service Administration in Belle Mead.
   He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a recipient of the Purple Heart.
   He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough.
   He was a member of Thomas J. Kavanaugh Post 2290 Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States.
   His wife, Anna (Benfante) Fedyna, died in 1997; a sister, Olga Demkowski; and a nephew, Richard Fedyna are deceased.
   Survivors include one brother, Michael of Clinton Township, Mich.; a sister, Helen Huddock of Manville; a brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were conducted Nov. 19 from Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a funeral liturgy at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church.
   Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
