Matthew Cooper Jr., 56, of Neshanic Station, received summonses for driving while intoxicated, careless driving, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and failure to report a motor vehicle accident after a witness reported that his vehicle drifted to the right on Route 206 and scraped along a guard rail before driving away at 8:29 p.m. Oct. 15.
Mr. Cooper was taken into custody after he failed several field sobriety tests. At police headquarters, he was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.17 percent. A BAC 0.08 or higher is intoxicated under New Jersey law.
Mr. Cooper was processed and released to the custody of a friend.
Michael Apicello Jr., 28, of Brick; Melissa Heller, 21, of Union; and Karleigh Klimasovsky, 21, of Roseland, were all charged with soliciting without a permit, after a witness observed them trying to sell perfume out of a back pack to customers at Nelson’s Corner Shopping Center on Route 206 at 2:35 p.m. Oct. 10.
Ryan Stanley, 32, of Clinton, received summonses for possession of CDS under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated, CDS in a motor vehicle and maintenance of lamps after police pulled him over on Route 206 because his driver’s side headlight was not working at 12:15 a.m. Oct. 26.
Mr. Stanley was taken into custody after he failed field sobriety tests. While searching him, police found a brown wooden case with a one hitter smoking pipe with marijuana residue and trace amounts of marijuana. Police also found a metal Altoids gum case containing marijuana.
At police headquarters, Mr. Stanley was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.06 percent.
Mr. Stanley was processed and released to his wife.
