Annette D. (Beaver) Martinez, 79, died Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Arden Court Assisted Living Care Facility in Yardley, Pa.
Born in Port Ewen, N.Y., she lived in Chatham for 35 years before moving to Yardley in 2004. In addition to raising her family as a loving mother and homemaker, she found time to be an active volunteer at the Morristown Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jose Ramon of Newtown, Pa.; a son, John and his wife, Magali, of Monroe; three daughters, Theresa Martinez and her husband, Robert Adams, of Yardley, Pa., Laura Castriotta and her husband, Guy, of Melville, N.Y., and Maureen Avallone of Las Vegas; three brothers, Gerald of Kingston, N.Y., Joseph of Schenectady, N.Y., and Vincent of Albany, N.Y.; two sisters, Helen Dzurinko of Monsey, N.Y., and Etna Ten Broeck of Clayton, Ga.; and four grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew and Michael Martinez and Erika Avallone.
Funeral services will be 8:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church, Monroe. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Visitation will be today (Friday) Nov. 23, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to either The Alzheimer’s Association or Nativity of Our Lord R.C.
