Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation Donates $6 Million to University Medical Center at Princeton

Gift Supports Improved Access to Health Care and Health Education for Region’s Underserved Populations —
A $6 million grant from the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation will help create a new community health care center at the University Medical Center at Princeton (UMCP) to provide community health care services to uninsured and underinsured residents, the hospital has announced. The gift, donated at $1.5 million per year for four years, will support the creation of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Community Health Center at UMCP’s new state-of-the-art campus to be built on Route 1 in Plainsboro.
The Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation grant will also support educational programs at a satellite location near the hospital’s current Princeton location. It will help provide transportation for Princeton patients without other means of transport. And it will offer new mental health services for patients whose physical illnesses are complicated by mental health problems.
