Harriet Wooten Gibbs, 93, of Brethren Village, Lancaster, Pa., died Nov. 22.
Born in Hopewell, she was the daughter of the late David Earnest Wooten and Bertha Fell Wooten.
After graduating from Trenton State Teachers College, she taught kindergarten in Egg Harbor Township, Trenton, Washington Crossing, Pa., Camp Hill, Pa., and Bethel Park, Pa., where she retired in 1978.
She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader in Washington Crossing, Pa.
Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Henry E. Gibbs Sr., and a sister, Eunice Bannister, she is survived by a son Henry E. Gibbs Jr. of Island Heights and a daughter Nancy G. Tate and her husband Allen E. Tate of Lancaster, Pa.; four grandchildren, Jeffery D. Tate and his wife Vanessa L. Tate of Lancaster, Pa., Amy Tate, of Reisterstown, Md., Jennifer C. Gibbs of Littleton, Colo., and Elizabeth K. Gibbs of Littleton, Colo.; and a great-granddaughter Veda L. Tate of Lancaster, Pa.
Burial was in Ewing Cemetery in Ewing.
