I wanted to thank the Princeton University Class of 2010 for hosting the conference “Turn the World Upside Down” on Saturday, Nov. 17. The conference, organized by Princeton students Jenni Newbury and Connor Diemand-Yauman, provided over 200 families information about Down Syndrome via workshops and an understanding on how to achieve a greater appreciation of the unlimited potential of someone with Down Syndrome.
Parents wish to thank Vice President Dickerson, Dean Dunne and the office of Dean of Undergraduate students who without their support the event would not have happened.
The well-organized conference was just superb; our children had access to fun provided by over 250 Princeton student volunteers, including campus singing and dancing groups! The conference information that attendees received was important and vital to their children’s lives. Students and staff had the unique opportunity to enrich their life experiences helping families with a person with Down Syndrome (engaging babies and young adults with aplomb).
My son Eli was very grateful to all that have offered their patience, time and energy ensuring he had an incredible time. The “Turn the World Upside Down” conference has allowed Eli a new understanding about Princeton and its caring student body of 2010.
