Breakfast with St. Nicholas: Hear the story of St. Nicholas, with photo opportunities to follow at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, Sand Hill Road. Story, treats and pictures at 9:30 a.m., Christmas and Advent crafts at 10 a.m., Advent story and more at 11 a.m. All who attend are asked to bring a gift of new mittens, warm hat or a scarf for St. Nicholas to bring to children in an area homeless shelter. Breakfast with Santa: Food, Starbucks coffee, holiday bingo, arts and crafts, carols, swimming, face painting and more, plus Santa and science experiments. Holiday tree lighting: Begins at 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ridge, Georges and Culver roads. Brownies and Girl Scouts will decorate the Slack Carroll House and hang natural ornaments that will feed birds. At 4:15 p.m., Boy Scouts will hang an American flag in front of Dayton Video. Holiday songs, tree lighting and a visit from Frosty the Snowman will follow. Festivities will continue at Indian Fields at Dayton Elementary School, Georges Road, for refreshments, more songs and games. All are welcome.
