Triangle principal gets Springfield post

By Eileen Oldfield Staff Writer
The Board of Education has already received applications for a replacement for Triangle Elementary School Principal Beth Godett, said District Superintendent Edward Forsthoffer at the board’s Nov. 19 meeting.
Dr. Godett submitted her resignation from the now $124,000 a year position to accept a superintendent position in the Springfield Township school district.
The Board of Education accepted the resignation at the meeting; it will be effective Dec. 20.
Dr. Godett was unavailable for comment before press time.
Dr. Godett joined the school district in 2005, replacing Charlene Weiksel. Prior to working in Hillsborough, Dr. Godett worked as director of education in the South Amboy Public School District, and as a principal and vice-principal in schools in New Jersey, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
Recently-retired Auten Road Intermediate School principal Harold Blackstone will serve as interim school principal at Triangle Elementary until a permanent principal is appointed.
