   Winter Registration will begin for the Bright Starts, 45-minute parent/child and toddler programs, on Thursday, December 6.
   Registration will be held at the South Brunswick Community Center in Woodlot Park, New Road, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will continue daily until classes are full. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis and is open to all residents of South Brunswick. Non-residents may register two days before programs begin if there is available space. All classes will be held at the Community Center.
   For in-person registration, you may register for your family and one other family. You may register for a maximum of two classes and must have registration form completed.

   A display celebrating Kendall Park’s 50th anniversary is being prepared for the South Brunswick Public Library.
   For the display, items such as sales brochures for the Nassau and Imperial houses are being sought.
   Photos from the early days of Kendall Park are also accepted.
   All original documents and photographs will be copied and then returned to their owners.

   The exhibit “All Creatures Wild & Tame” will be on display at the South Brunswick Municipal Gallery, Route 522, through Jan. 4. The exhibit will feature paintings, photographs and other images of our furry, featured and four-legged animal friends.
   Gallery hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 weekdays.

VFW 9111 of South Brunswick will host a spaghetti dinner at the post’s home, Henderson Road, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25.
   The menu includes spaghetti, salad, meatballs and dessert. $8 donation per person.

   Veterans of wartime service have many reasons to join the American Legion, especially now during South Brunswick Post 401’s Early Bird membership drive. With the program, the $30 fee includes membership for the remainder of 2007 and all of 2008.
   Members enjoy many benefits, including discounts on hotels, car rentals, Dell computers and Post hall rental, and have an opportunity to make a difference in their community, as well. Post 401 supports many local youth programs, such as Boys State, a Boy Scout troop, school programs and an outstanding American Legion Baseball Team.
   The Post sponsors programs at the Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park, and hosts Memorial and Veterans Day services. Members are also be kept up to date on issues and entitlement information of importance to veterans.

   Tuesday’s Children, a non-profit organization that provides services and support to children who lost a parent in the Sept. 11 attacks, is seeking Princeton-area mentors for these children, one of whom is a South Brunswick resident.
   The program pairs the children, ages 6 to 16, with specially trained adult role models who will support the children’s emotional and development needs, and help them build the confidence and skills they need to reach their potential.
