CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP – Marguerite A. Durr, 85, died Saturday at Care One in Moorestown.
Born in Trenton, she had resided for 50 years on a farm in Chesterfield. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church of Bordentown; Wrightstown and Pomona Grange; Chesterfield Keenagers; and the Chesterfield Township Board of Education. She was an avid Pinochle and Bridge player. Ms. Durr was the municipal court clerk in Chesterfield Township for 29 years.
Daughter of the late Lester and Ellen Hurley Driber, and wife of the late Herman Durr Jr., she is survived by her beloved family, her daughter Louise Guarnaccia and her spouse Giacomo of Mansfield, Conn.; sons Lawrence Durr and his spouse Carol of Chesterfield, James R. Durr and his spouse Lisa of North Hanover and David Durr and his spouse Joanne of Culpepper, Va.; brother Bernard Driber of Toms River; sister Eileen Fulper of Little Rock, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Durr, Lora Durr, Elizabeth Namba, Anthony Guaranaccia, Casey Durr, James H. Durr, Daniel P. Durr, Jacob A. Durr, Zachary I. Durr, and Andrew Durr: three great-grandchildren Aubrey Durr, Maximus Namba and Alexander Namba; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Crosswicks Street, Bordentown City. Rev. Michael Burns officiated. Entombment followed in the parish cemetery. Calling hours were Tuesday at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown.
