Session set Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Borough Hall

The Pennington Democratic Organization has submitted the names of three candidates to replace Robert Di Falco on Pennington Borough Council.
The candidates are: Alyce Doldy, of 202 Burd St.; Glen Griffiths of 33 Baldwin St.; and David Haines of 2 E. Franklin Ave.
Borough Council will interview the candidates at a special meeting set for Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Borough Hall, according to Borough Clerk Betty Sterling.
Whoever is appointed to replace Mr. Di Falco would have to run for election in November to serve out the rest of the Mr. Di Falco’s term, which ends Dec. 31, 2008.
Mr. Di Falco resigned from council Nov. 19 — 11 days after being elected to complete a one-year unexpired term. He defeated Republican Lance Lewis in that election.
Mr. Di Falco resigned because a state law prohibits him from holding a council seat and serving on the board of trustees of Mercer County Community College, a position he has held for several years, at the same time. He said he did not know of the conflict until after he was elected.
