Bordentown City

   Kevin White, 26 of Bordentown City was charged Nov. 27 with theft of a motor vehicle. Police arrived at Mr. White’s home at 8:45 a.m. and charged him with the theft, which police said was committed in September. Police did not provide details about the make and model of the car or where the alleged theft had taken place. Mr. White was later transported to Burlington County Jail in default of $7,500 bail.

Florence

   Cheryl Papp, 27, of Roebling, was charged on Nov. 27 with eluding police, possession of stolen property, driving with a suspended license, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
   At 10:24 p.m., police saw a red Jeep Cherokee that had been reported stolen in Edison. Police attempted to pull the car over, but the vehicle continued onto Delaware Avenue, Route 130 South, and then northbound onto the New Jersey Turnpike, police said. Ms. Papp eventually pulled onto the shoulder near Exit 7A, where she was charged at 10:48 p.m. and taken to police headquarters, police said. Ms. Papp was found to have two outstanding warrants against her out of Helmetta Borough, and was transported to Burlington County Jail in default of $16,720 bail.

Mansfield

   Jamaar A. Scott, 21 of Bristol, Pa., was charged Dec. 1 with second degree sexual assault with force. Police said a 22-year-old female victim came to police headquarters at 12:45 a.m. to report that she had been sexually assaulted the night before. An investigation led police to Mr. Scott, who they say sexually assaulted the victim on Nov. 30 at approximately 9 p.m. Bail was set at $30,000 with no option to post 10 percent for release. He was processed and later lodged in the Burlington County Jail in lieu of bail.

   Ryan D. Smith, 34, of Fort Valley, Ga., was charged Nov. 23 with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and speeding. At 11:45 p.m., police reported seeing a vehicle speeding northbound on Route 130 near Maple Avenue. After being pulled over, Mr. Smith failed several sobriety tests, police said. He was released to his wife after processing at police headquarters.

   Evelyn Dempsey, 49, of Titusville, was charged Nov. 27 with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and speeding. Police said they pulled Ms. Dempsey over on Route 206 South in the area of the Columbus flea market at approximately 10 p.m. Police said she failed several sobriety tests. She was charged and taken to police headquarters, where she was released to a friend.

North Hanover

   Jose Rivera, 39, of Springfield Township, was charged Nov. 24 with possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest, and several motor vehicle violations. He was pulled over on Route 545 for a moving violation and ran after getting out of the car, police said. Mr. Rivera was pursued to the back of the Ames plaza, where he was apprehended at 7:40 p.m., police said. Police then discovered that the car was stolen from Jersey City in April 2007. Mr. Rivera was released on bail.

   Brian Mitchell, 38, of North Hanover, was charged Nov. 24 with disorderly conduct. Police allegedly responded to a report of a disorderly person on Mary Street, and found Mr. Mitchell in the street yelling obscenities and refusing to leave, police said. Mr. Mitchell was arrested at 8:53 p.m. He was processed and released on his own recognizance.

   James Jones, 35, of Browns Mills, was charged at 2:29 a.m. on Nov. 24 with being a fugitive. Upon observing suspicious activity in the area of the Virginian Hotel, police stopped a car and discovered the driver, Mr. Jones, to be a fugitive from the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department, police said. He was processed and transported to Burlington County Jail.

   Hector Rivera, 33, of West Reading, Pa., was charged Nov. 21 at 8:30 p.m. with being a fugitive from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department. Police were called to Falcon Courts North to assist security with a subject in custody for outstanding warrants, police said. Mr. Rivera was processed and transported to Burlington County Jail.

   Edwin Ross III, 27, of North Hanover was arrested Nov. 19 at 11:30 a.m. on outstanding warrants. Police were dispatched to Cedar Grove Apartments for a report of disorderly conduct, police said. Mr. Ross was processed and placed in Burlington County Jail.
