HILLSBOROUGH Fredrick Scott Chapman died Nov. 26 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. He was 66.
Born in New York, he was a resident of Hillsborough for 23 years.
Mr. Chapman was employed by Lever Brothers, where he developed an interest in computers and their use in the chemical industry. Shortly thereafter he started his own company, focusing on designing and later installing computer systems.
After many years of owning his own companies he became the vice president of IT at J. Manheimer, Inc. in Clark.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Chapman; two sons, Noel of Ocean Grove and Benjamin of Budd Lake; a daughter, Jennifer of Hillsborough; three grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Dec. 1 from Hillsborough Funeral Home in Hillsborough, followed by burial at Cedar Hills Cemetery in Millstone.
