    MONTGOMERY — Richard “Dick” James Costabile died Sept. 6 at the University Medical Center at Princeton of lung cancer. He was 56.
   His professional career included over 25 years in the insurance field.
   He was a championship athlete, who excelled in skiing, swimming, diving and golf. He was known for his sense of humor and pranks.
   Born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., he was the son of the late Dr. Richard J. Costabile.
   He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Costabile; his wife of 26 years, Mary Ann Bosco Costabile; mother-in-law Sandy Bosco; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dr. Ronald A. and Bernadette Bosco; nephew Aaron Bosco; niece Dr. Daryl Bosco; cousin and his wife Danny and Sue O’Brine; and friends George and Diane Bellin and Diane Albala.
   A memorial service was held in Manchester, Vt. on Oct. 13.
