Coalition for Peace Action slates holiday event Dec. 18

The Princeton-based Coalition for Peace Action is inviting peace supporters in the region to its annual Holiday Peace Event on Dec. 18 in Princeton.
The focus of this year’s event will be “Impacting the 2008 Elections for Peace.”
The event starts with a Candlelight Vigil for Peace on Earth from 5 to 6 p.m. at Palmer Square.
A potluck supper and party will follow from 6 to 7 p.m. at Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau St., directly across the street from Palmer Square.
Following the potluck, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., there will be a talk by the Rev. Robert Moore, executive director of the coalition on “Impacting the 2008 Elections for Peace,” followed by a question and comment period.
All three events are free and open to the public. Those interested may come to any one or combination of the three events. Battery-powered candles will be used at the vigil and participants are encouraged to bring their own, otherwise the coalition will provide them. Those bringing dishes to the supper may drop them off by pulling into the church parking lot and bringing them in through the door in the back starting at 4:45 p.m.. Participants are asked to then re-park elsewhere, so the lot is available for church programs.
