PRINCETON— Lt. Gen. Karl Eikenberry, the former commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan and a current NATO military official, will speak at Princeton University on Thursday, at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.
Eikenberry assumed command of U.S. forces in May 2005 and stepped down in January 2007 to assume his current role as deputy chairman of the NATO Military Committee in Brussels, Belgium. His topic on Thursday will be "NATO: Afghanistan, Kosovo and the Alliance’s Future."
Eikenberry has served in numerous operational posts and various strategy, policy and political-military positions with the U.S. Army in the United States, Europe and Asia.
