Kelly Gleason

Ms. Gleason, 41, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died Nov. 22, 2007, at Fountain View Care Center, Lakewood. Born in Denville, she was raised in Howell and had resided in Parsippany and Manhattan, N.Y., before moving to Brooklyn in 2003. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in Manhattan, Ms. Gleason was a freelance special-effects and makeup artist for stage and screen productions throughout the world and also taught classes at SVA. She received an Emmy Award for her work on the 2003 HBO miniseries “Angels in America” and was president of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local No. 798, Manhattan. Surviving are her parents, Carol and Robert Gleason of Howell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Todd and Leslie Gleason of Howell, and Troy and Natasha Gleason of East Brunswick; and a niece and five nephews. A funeral service was held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment was private.
